Hi everyone!
Today is Saturday and it's cake day! Here are some pictures of the almond pie that I did with Carlota 's help. We're now heading off for some Christmas cookies, I hope the recipe works out - my oven is broken, so I use it by instinct, which isn't so great sometimes.
If you want the recipe, please tell me. I can assure you it's delicious - it's a traditional pie in Portugal and it's truly appreciated around here!

It looks delicious! Would you please share your recipe? I would love to make it!:)
Of course! Here it goes:
For the dough
* 100 g of butter
* 100 g of granulated sugar
* 2 entire eggs
* 250 g of all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon of baking powder
For the inside
* 100 g of granulated sugar
* 100 g of butter
* 50 g of milk (3 tablespoons)
* 150 g of chopped peeled almonds
Beat the butter and sugar very well, then add the eggs one by one and finally add the flour with the baking powder. Beat it very well, then spread the dough on a pie tin (previously spread butter and flour on the tin). You can now put the tin in the oven at 180º, while you prepare the filling.
The filling: mix all the igredients, stirring them on the cooker until it simmers, always stirring it for about 7-8 minutes. After that time, spread in on top of the dough (already on the cake tin) and take it back to the oven for about 30 minutes more or until it reaches a brownish color.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much! I'll do it next weekend!:)
