It's a baby thing ❤

A Conchinha adora ursinhos - coisa a que a irmã nunca deu muita atenção... Não sai de casa sem a sua Ursinha Bonny (o nome que deu ao boneco que lhe oferecemos no Natal) ou com algum dos seus peluches...

Aqui mostro-vos algumas fotos do quarto delas, da almofada maravilhosa da Rosehip, a manta antiga com as rosáceas em crochet (feita pela minha avó), do saquinho da Concha com tecido da Liberty e um dos brinquedos que recebeu no Natal, o servicinho de chá...

Conchinha loves teddy bears and she doesn't leave home without one - something that her sister never cared for. She calls this crochet bear that we gave her for Christmas Bonny bear... :)

Here are some photos of their bedroom, the Liberty fabric bag where she carries her stuff, the tea service she received this Christmas and the pillowcase by Rosehip, on top of the old crochet blanket that my grandmother made...

Para as meninas. As pequeninas coisas do quarto delas, nas cores vibrantes da infância. O menino Jesus de barro, que tanto adoram.

Back to school!

De volta às aulas (a Carlota está no 5º ano), estou a ajudá-la a organizar os cadernos, encadernar os livros, limpar a secretária e seleccionar as coisas que podem ficar no quarto - é pequeno. Está a ficar uma menina grande. E a adorar a experiência de poder usar roupa normal no dia-a-dia, em vez da farda do colégio. 

Aqui ficam algumas fotos das nossas andanças...

Back to school (Carlota's in the 5th grade), I'm helping her cleaning the desk, organizing the books and covering them with beautiful paper. Their room is small, so we really have to keep it tidy. She's turning into a beautiful grown girl and she's loving the new experiences - she particularly loves not having to wear an uniform!

Ontem chegou a encomenda que fiz na Segunda passada, do site Bianca and Family. Demorou tão pouco tempo!

Yesterday arrived my Bianca and Family order. It took such little time!

This where Carlota does her homework... The pad is covered with Kitsch Kitshen paper and the cushion is Designer Guild's. It's hard to have Carlota doing her homework by herself, alone in her room, but as she's getting older she's becoming more responsible and she really makes an effort to do it all by herself. I tried to make her room her little haven...

JEJÉ's ROOM

A minha casa é pequena e o espaço tem que ser o melhor aproveitado possível. Redecorei o quarto da Carlota com isso em mente, pelo que a cama e a secretária foram feitas à medida. Apesar de não gostar particularmente das linhas industriais e de móveis modulares, penso que encontrei a melhor solução para este quartinho.

O papel de parede é da Pip Studio e a roupa de cama é da Designers Guild. Os móveis são da Just4Kids, excepto a estante e a cadeira, que são do Ikea.

Ah, se eu tivesse uma casa maior...

My house is very small, so I have to keep that in mind when decorating. That's why Carlota's bed and desk were made by measure. Although I don't particularly like industrial and modular furniture, I think this was the best solution for her small room.

The wallpaper is Pip Studio's and the bed covers are Designers Guild's. The bed and desk were bought at Just4Kids and the bookcase and chair are from Ikea.

Ah, if I had a bigger house...

Foi nas fotografias deste quarto sueco em que eu me inspirei para decorar uma parte do quarto da Carlota. É nele que descubro os papéis de parede da PIP Studio, os maravilhosos tecidos da Scarlet Fig e aquele tapete do IKEA, que nunca cheguei a encontrar... É lindo!!

It was in this swedish bedroom pictures that I found inspiration for Carlota's room decoration. This is where I have foun Pip Studio wallpapers, the wonderful fabrics of Scarlet Fig and that Ikea rug, that I never got to find... I find this room beautiful!

HOME, SWEET HOME...

O quartinho da Jejé. Mandei vir a roupa de cama da Designers Guild e o papel de parede veio da Alemanha, num site que encontrei com coisas da Pip Studio! A risota que foi encomendar online... em alemão!!! Mas correu tudo bem e os donos do site são excelentes.

My darling Carlota's bedroom... The bedcover is from Designers Guild and the wallpaper is Pip Studio's. I sent it over from a german online shop and though I don't understand a word of german, I could buy it and now we have a lovely room!
